Chapter 3 — Crackers and Dip
It was just another day at the office — attempting to find a woman's pulse as she sat lifeless in the front seat of her car, a red Jeep Cherokee, her head slumped forward, her face covered in blood, shattered glass everywhere, the car resembling something that had had a fight with a wrecking ball.

CHAPTER 10 — SCHADENFREUDE
It was just another day at the office — sitting around with a group of guys swapping stories. Times gone past, hitting strangers over the head with pool cues, holding up a service station with a sawn-off double-barrel shotgun, stabbing people who “deserved it,” and various other impulsive acts of violence committed against whoever happened to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Taking an Oath
While I'd been part of the corporate bureaucracy for many years, in healthcare, justice departments, aviation, shipping, mental health, justice, academia, international aid sector and an onion factory I worked at when I first left school, it was working for this ‘not for profit’ organisation that allowed me to see the entire absurdity of those that ran organisations. And here I was, back knee deep in the swamp.

Chapter 11 - The Quest for the Holy Grail
By this stage in my life, I'd been heckled by angry bystanders on the side of the road as I attempted to check if Louise was alive. Carried a woman's completely severed leg with a not so happy ending. Performed CPR on a fat guy out at sea, to attempt to save him, but also to please the drunk crowd of cruise ship passengers. Told pilots to fly faster to avoid the mess of delivering a baby in the back of an aircraft. Been accused of killing not one, but two people.
